Aptiv is seeking to identify and hire an accomplished and strategic Executive Search professional to help drive transformation across the entire executive recruitment life cycle, and the development of new  systems, processes, and metrics that support enhanced quality, the organization’s goals and strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and executing executive level searches across all Aptiv business units. This leader will need to be well-versed in all aspects of full-lifecycle executive search including creative candidate sourcing, candidate generation and development, client management and offer/negotiation. Reporting to the Global Director of Executive Search, the position will come with high visibility amongst the HR leadership as well as the business units and other functional leaders across the company.

The incumbent will be considered a progressive talent for Aptiv and expected to deliver results that will lead to future career advancement.

Candidate profile:

Ideal candidate will have a proven record of running executive recruiting with measurable results. They must have experience driving meaningful action, be data- and detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. The candidate will be asked to operate independently in an ambiguous environment, and must have experience managing multiple concurrent searches and driving them to successful completion. Because the person in this role will influence the business worldwide, they will also need to be highly collaborative and able to influence without authority while also being able to work with significant autonomy. Strong self-awareness, curiosity for others, and adaptability is essential.

Main responsibilities:

Build and execute a comprehensive executive recruiting strategy grounded in the business and aligned with Aptiv’s vision and culture.

Drive continuous improvement via programs, process setting and constant business interaction.

Develop innovative ways and creative strategies to recruit the best executive talent under nay circumstance. Never settle.

Lead full-lifecycle executive searches as well as managing third party agency relationships as the primary point of contact.

Assist with the candidates’ transition and onboarding process.

Network and build long-lasting relationships.

Stay familiar with all advancements in our industry, job function or expertise area.

Background / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and Master's degree or MBA.

10+ years of progressive executive recruiting experience in either a blue-chip, global in-house executive search team, or a top executive search firm in a complex and competitive market.

5+ years of experience advising and influencing executive leadership.

Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to measure results and determine improvements.

Ability to influence without authority and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is required.

Demonstrated competence across cultures and identities.


Strong capability in project management/planning, and innovative thinking.

Excellent communication skills coupled with a sharp eye for talent.

Sound business judgement and ability to see around corners.

Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
